Wide brim, cattleman crown
with a snap brim.
The block is the shape of a hat. When making a hat, the material of choice is stretched over a molded wood or metal form (block) to stamp the shape.
Locate a soft, flexible seamstress tape measure. Determine the widest portion of your head, typically starting just above the eyebrows and in the rear, you may feel a slight knot on the back of your skull.
Using a mirror, place the tape so that centimeters are visible starting at the front and wrap it comfortably around your head covering the widest portion until it overlaps above the eyebrows and ears.
You should be left with a measurement between 52 & 63 centimeters. Use our provided conversion chart to determine your appropriate hat size. Enjoy.
Find the ChartIf you want to maintain those curves, it’s best to handle your hat by the brim. Over time, picking your hat up by the pinch will discolor the felt, cause the pinches to cave in, or for a straw, it can cause cracks.
Whether you have a pet at home, don’t store your hat in a hat box, or simply live in the real world where dirt is present, you’ll find that a hat brush comes in very handy for removing dust and debris. Brush the hat heavily in a counterclockwise motion to refresh it before wearing or preparing it for cleaning.
Shop Care KitIf you notice your hat growing old, showing wrinkles, or beginning to put off odor, a bit of steam will work wonders. Grab a garment steamer or boil a pot of water, hold the trouble areas on your hat over the steam and use your hand to manipulate the shape or wrinkles out.
