measure YOUR HEAD

Step 1

STEP 1

Locate a soft, flexible seamstress tape measure. Determine the widest portion of your head, typically starting just above the eyebrows and in the rear, you may feel a slight knot on the back of your skull.

No soft tape measure? Simply cut a 30” piece of string and grab a yard stick.

Step 2

STEP 2

Using a mirror, place the tape so that centimeters are visible starting at the front and wrap it comfortably around your head covering the widest portion until it overlaps above the eyebrows and ears.

If using a string method, follow the steps above. Mark on the string where it overlaps so that you can lay it down against the yard stick to determine the length in inches.

You should be left with a measurement between 52 & 63 centimeters. Use our provided conversion chart below to determine your appropriate hat size. Enjoy.

Totem Hat

Been looking for "the one" for years now, and within 30 seconds of putting Aw Shoot on, I knew this was the one. Leather band feels comfortable and soft. Look is just rugged enough, looks good dressed up or with shirt and jeans. This hat just feels right when it goes on your head. I'm so impressed with this hat from Goorin I intend to buy one of their straw varieties for summer. I wear this hat almost daily and hope it continues to hold up for years. If this hat is on your radar, buy it, you won't be disappointed. ​I was between L and XL on the measurement chart, bought the L and it's a good fit. A little foam in the headband and it's just snug enough to not fly off.

Amazing hat

I love Goorin Bros. I have 5 hats from them now. This is my 3rd Aw Shoot. I got a replacement for the brown one that I loved, and then got the new grey with black piping. Amazing hats, I get compliments all the time. However, lately their hats are coming in bent up. They do a great job of replacing them, but something changed in the shipping side of things. Still going to keep buying them, they are my favorite hat company.
